Join Our Committee
The Holiday Shopping Card Committee is a dynamic volunteer group that brings together people who love shopping, food, fun, and giving back! Committee members help plan and promote Houston’s beloved Holiday Shopping Card program — a fundraising initiative that partners with top local retail stores and restaurants to support cancer research and programs at the American Cancer Society.
This is a flexible commitment, typically only requiring a few hours per month from May through November. It’s a great way to make new connections, support a meaningful cause, and have fun along the way!
Responsibilities
- Attend monthly committee meetings/socials
- Sell 5+ cards and encourage your friends to attend HSC events
- Provide 2 prospects for corporate/individual sponsors and new retail store participants
- Deliver and pick up packets for 5 to 10 stores in close proximity to your home or work
- Attend HSC kick-off event and other sponsor events
- Help nominate future HSC committee members
