2026 Holiday Shopping Card Co-Chairs

As first-year Co-Chairs for the Holiday Shopping Card program, this dynamic duo brings an incredible passion for the American Cancer Society and a true commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients and their caregivers. 

Lara Bell is the founder of Swoon Media LLC, which publishes community magazines serving the Houston area (SWOON Memorial and SWOON Katy/Fulshear). A long-time media professional turned business owner, Lara also spent 14 years at KTBU-TV as the host of Wild About Houston. Lara leads SWOON while remaining deeply involved in Houston’s philanthropic community, having helped raise millions of dollars for local charities over the past 25 years and serving on the boards of organizations such as American Cancer Society and Kids' Meals Inc. She has also chaired and co-chaired numerous high-profile fundraising galas over the past two decades, including the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball in Houston. Lara is married to her husband Brent of twenty-three years, and she is the proud mother of Dylan and Brooks. 

Suzanne Stiles is a dedicated volunteer and community leader. Suzanne serves as Special Events Chair for the Executive Board of the Spring Branch Education Foundation and as a member of the Houston Board of Communities In Schools (CIS), among many other civic and philanthropic roles. She has chaired major fundraising efforts, supported local education through family-funded scholarships, and was honored in 2024 with the Ladies of Memorial Community Icon Award for her outstanding service. Suzanne is a Houston native and stay-at-home mom of three daughters – Catherine, Caroline, and Charlotte—and she has been married to her husband Adam for 27 years. 

This year, we are also excited to announce Courtney Zavala as our Honorary Co-Chair. After two years serving as the Holiday Shopping Card Committee Co-Chair from 2024-2025, Courtney will continue lending her insight, passion, and leadership to this incredible program.  

With Lara and Suzanne at the helm, we can’t wait for another exciting Holiday Shopping Card season, happening October 22 – November 1, 2026. Get ready to shop with purpose and make a difference — all while supporting vital programs and services for those who need it most.
